Sunday 27th January
The temperature rose overnight, and so did the canal and the river.
To be honest, sharing the pictures is the easiest way to describe what we saw.
This is the overflow from the canal. It's usually a trickle of water and a sweet little waterfall.

We won't be going that way today.
Or that way.
The canal was seeping over the path at this point.
This is usually a field
And so it this.
The tow path was the only place to walk, water on both sides.
The pub car park was full ... of water!
And the weather forecast is for rain.
