froodnetOur 'summer' holiday in 2013 was in the autumn and involved a 1,000 mile road trip through the USA and a transatlantic sea crossing to the UK.
We spent one night in Atlanta then picked up our hire car and drove north and into Tennessee.
From our balcony. They really are Blue Ridge Mountains. We couldn't stop taking photographs!
The hotel was very nice and had some interesting trees. I've since been told they were cork trees.
The next day we met Robyn and her lovely hubby. Unfortunately, he couldn't stay as he going to work but it was great to meet him, even if only briefly.
Robyn took us to a wonderful restaurant for lunch and then back home to meet her son and Mum. The setting for the restaurant was amazing - it was like being on a movie set!
After lunch we visited the Crockett Tavern.
Then we had coffee and visited a mall before we returned to our wonderful view!
