The Villa has lots of things to recommend it.

Here 's the front door, and the little pool.

Now for the inside. Our bedroom and its ceiling. Hugh approves of the view on waking up!

We were in there yesterday when we heard a commotion in the villa next door. There was much shrieking and yelling and when we peeped out of our window we found the Italian family in the next villa digging in the bushes with several long poles with small hooks on the end. Eventually they extracted and killed a very long snake. When the guy finally held it out by the tail with his arm held out straight, it reached the ground so I'm guessing it was about five foot long. It was dark grey and didn't have any markings that I could see, but then I wasn't getting THAT close! What I did notice was that they treated it with a healthy respect, even keeping it at a long distance once it appeared to be thoroughly deceased!

Other than that we are still continually amazed by the changing scenery outside of our window. I took this panoramic shot yesterday, from the road we walk down to reach the lake. This is the northern lake area around Domaso. This also shows the church at the end of the street, the church with the clock and bell tower which strikes every thirty minutes, very loudly. It also rings its very noisy bells to announce each service - there are several a day. :)
